In honor of Women’s History Month, students, educators and supporters gathered Wednesday at the Elementary Institute of Science in San Diego for a drone demonstration to show how the nonprofit Our Genetic Legacy’s DRONE (Descendents Recovering Our Names) Project will teach young women to use lidar (light detection and ranging) to create 3D images of landscapes invisible to the naked eye.
